My Early Edition
Friday, September 12th, 2008I like TV series Early Edition, about a guy named Gary Hobson that receive “tomorrow newspaper” today. He’s running around the city to save people so they didn’t make to the headlines as bad news. In some episode, you’ll see that one stories is connected to another stories in the newspaper. Sometimes, destiny (in form of a cat) comes and helps Gary to rescue others.
Sometimes, I can’t help but think that my life is like that. Like today, for instance. I accidentally brought my wife cellphone in my pocket. So, I went to her office to give her cellphone. On taxi, I couldn’t help thinking why this happened to me. My wife and I have routines, yet today, by some accident, I brought her cellphone and should returned it to her.
You can say that I was just clumsy and mixed up because I was in a rush, but after I returned her cellphone, I went to the bank (because there’s one near her office) and helped a stranger read his bank account since he left his glasses at home.
Again, any other people could help him read, but maybe i changed the headline from :
FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER CANNOT READ THE BANK ACCOUNT
to
ANOTHER DAY IN THE BANK
I don’t know. Maybe I’m just a bit romantic.
