TED, Idea that worth Spreading [Cool links]
Wednesday, April 30th, 2008I really like this site because it really open my mind about a lot of things like Afrika, brain, and nature. Yes, you have to have a lot of bandwidth available if you want to download 5-30 minutes of their clips. TED (Technology Entertainment Design) is an annual conference that defines its mission as “ideas worth spreading”, and the best talks given at TED are made available to the public for free on its website. Its lectures cover a broad set of topics including science, arts, design, politics, global issues, architecture, music and more.
My favorite talks including :
- Helen Fisher talks about why we love, cheat
- James Nachtwey searing pictures of war
- Isabel Allende tells tale of passion
- Eve Ensler on happines body and soul
- Karen Armstrong talks about the charter of compassion
- Seth Godin on sliced bread
- Jonathan Harris tells web’s secret stories
- Lakhsmi Praturi on Letter Writing
- Vilayanur Ramachandran on your mind
- Rives on 4 am
I have downloaded most of the talks. It’s really an eye opener for me. And i hope you feel it too. There’s no indonesian speaker, but i really hope it will be soon.
