Three signs that your life is photoshopped :

1. You really, really want to know what others think, write and say  about you. Sometimes you even put up an act to please your crowd.
2. You didn’t care about the cost as long as you look “Good” in the eyes of others.
3. You photoshopped other people’s life as well according to your perspective.

You are unique, just like everybody else.

We are unique. God creates us one of a kind, even for quintuplet. DNA said so, every personal motivator said so and even TV said so. But, sometimes we feel that we are not special. We’re not unique, we’re just like everybody else. Maintain your feeling of uniqueness is important on your everyday lives so you cannot lost in the sea of men. How? Here’s some tips :

1. Create your own language. Switch ‘a’ with ‘[', 'b' with '0', 'c' with '3' and you can write using that language. There's no one else know your language except yourself
2. Create your own words. Make up a readable word like joakrue and check it with google search to ensure that there isn't anyone use that word yet except you, and fill in the meaning. Don't let people in ancient greek who have all the fun to create meaning of every words.
3. Create your -ism or -ness. I've created a blog a long time ago, and the contents mainly are what i think about life and other thing as well. Yes, if you have your own blog, you can called it also it's your -ism. There's a good example from movie You, Me and Dupree where people should create their one and only -ness, like Michaelness, Lanceness and so on.
4. Do something totally unique and realise that. You can sing, "BLA DE OARIA LET" and you become the only one that ever sing that particular made up phrase. And don't ever think that everybody can sing that. They don't know about it. Only you know about it.
5. Change the world. Think big and different, but keep it positive.

People always talk about the early bird but never about the early worm.

Have you ever read about the difference between your boss and you? Then, you all know that’s everything in this world is a matter of perspective. You could be a hero for some people, while others consider you as a traitor. People easily misunderstood what other people do because they have their own glasses. They critisize or praise you for what they see, and rarely for what you really are. You’re judged by your strengths and weaknesses but what someone see as weaknesses, could be one of your strengths. Remember the classic tale of Rudolph the red nose reindeer that has a very shiny nose, mocked by other reindeer until one foggy christmas eve, when his shining nose can guide Santa’s sleigh and go down in history?

And too prove that it’s only a matter of perspective, just remember when people who scorn you when you don’t please them, they turned to you when you do something that they love. Perspective can change, come and go, but the important thing is, perspective never 100% accurate.

Maybe some of you have heard this book, and although i’m not 100% agree with this book, there’s still one insight that stuck in my head. The power of positive thinking.

Mother Theresa once said that she’s not anti war, but pro peace. This is important because if we keep our focus on the negative side, even to deny or prohibit it, the influence of that denial still affect us. Remember Roy Marten? He’s a spokeperson for anti-drug, and he got caught buying drugs. How ironic is that?

Is this why eventhough there’s a slogan that said SAY NO TO DRUGS, the drug users in Indonesia is increasing? The slogan can be changed to SAY YES TO LIFE or LIVING HEALTHY 100%. Maybe we ought to change the second sign to Year of Full Stomach and Good Nutrition.

And it worked on every aspect of our lives as well. Don’t deny the devil, accept it, and focus on the other side, the good side.

Yes, the final solution arrived yesterday. Almost all ISP blocked youtube, rapidshare, multiply, metacafe, liveleak and so on. We screamed in silence, but there still something that we can do during the darkest hour of internet history in Indonesia (if there’s such things). Below are some examples :

1. Create another film called Fitna that describe all good things in the world, such as Love, Compassion, and Peace. Make some viral marketing so your movie is watched by a lot of people and drown the original Fitna that already caused such problems.
2. Well, there’s still proxy website such as safelizard, youhide and a lot more. It sacrificed your comforts in viewing blocked website, but it’s better than nothing.
3. There’s a website and application called yourfreedom that probably can be used for bypass all those restriction.
4. Somehow i really think that this is a means to promote layartancap, so let’s just visit those local site instead and search other clips other than fitna.
5. Let the world know what happened in indonesia regarding this final solution, by blogging or other means (write to cnn for example)
6. Prepare list of clips that you want to watch after this ban lifted. IT won’t last forever. Or prepare video you want to upload to internet. Never stop your craetive process.
7. Play games like on kongregate or pictogame and play games like this one
8. It’s not the end of the world for most of us because we still can do any other activities on the internet, like sleeping during president’s talk in Lemhanas.
9. Pray, that depkominfo finally come to their senses and lifted this restriction.

This ban is a joke, so can we all just laugh about it? We always know that government is slow to react so they celebrate april fools almost a week after. Ha..ha..ha..

How many times that we’ve ever heard this sentence or similar like it,

• Well, you shouldn’t take that vacation. It’s wasting money, you can save it for a new dryer
• Gosh, i wish you bought it on that store on 95th street. It’s cheaper there.
• What good is a dancing lesson? No dancer is ever rich dancing!

People saving money to buy stuff, but rarely to feel or experience something. Yes, washer and dryer is important and so too is refrigerator, but you can’t watch a beautiful sunset in front of refrigerator, right? Yes, you must save money for the rainy day, but what about some saving to enjoy the sunny day?

We’ve overworked and saving every penny in the bank and never get a chance to enjoy it. We promised to enjoy it when we retired, but why can’t we just create some mini pension first to smell the flowers?

Maybe next time when we buy things that make your life easier rather than spend it on some experience (it could be various experience, like vacation, or learning a new skill, or get a very good message) just think about this sentence, You can’t take it with You.
