The lyrics from a song really stuck in my head.

Having been fucked is no excuse for being fucked up.

Beside the wonderful rhyme, it’s really a good sentence to think about. Ever heard of a drunkard that complained, “Oh, I got fired today, my wife left me, and my landlord kick me out because I missed payment.” He thinks that he has right to be miserable because he got a perfectly good reasons to complain. He’s having been fucked by life. So, as a result he’s fucked up.

But, eventhough having been fucked is a fact of life, being fucked up is a state of mind. How many good self-help book taught about failure and how to rise from the rock bottom and become successful? You must choose between mourn in the dark or light a candle.

I prefer to light a candle. How about you?
